This meme is based off of the Saiyūki: The End of the Journey episode in Gag Manga Biyori. Regardless of whether or not you have actually heard of Saiyūki or Gag Manga Biyori, the adaptation to a Sonic theme and loose captions pick up the slack. There are two ways to take out the blue blur. The first would be throwing Sonic into a pool and watch him slowly come to turns with his impending death, via Sonic X. Then there’s the easy way as pointed out by this news report; using a high gust of wind and placing lamp posts in his path. Nevertheless, Sonic won’t be taken down without taking out someone with him. In this case a cop and a child.

Then tragedy strikes; which causes Sonic breaks away from the group to start her own solo career, leaving Tails to carry the weight as the lead singer. Towards the end of the series the two reunite for a tear jerking duet. Do you think it will sell? Nah, me neither.

The first 50 seconds is just an opening, a creepy opening but none the less an opening. Once you get past that you get to see what looks like story about Valentine’s Day and Sonic stuck in the middle. What? I can’t post cute things now? Psh, see if you get anything for Christmas; that’s right it’s my turn to drive to big red sleigh this year, and I want poached pear in vanilla syrup and dark chocolate ice cream. I just made myself hungry, lyrics translation after the jump.

Sonic and NiGHTS Christmas Songs

These songs would be so relevant if I had a time machine to take me back to 2008 and 1993. In the first half you get to hear Jun’ichi Kanemaru, voice actor of Sonic, singing “Last Christmas” *cough cough* I mean “December’s Fairy Tale.” While in the second half Julissa Aguirre aka Jasselle, the voice actor of Nights, sings “Baby It’s Cold Outside” with Howard Hewett. To turn the comments off, press the speech bubble button. Of course, if I did own a time machine I would catch myself a dinosaur and strap some laser weapons on it.
